We celebrate the life and history of the neighbourhood in 2014

The doors to the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Centre will be open on Saturday 28 June for Fitzrovia Festival 2014.

There will be an exhibition, a browse and buy bookstall and a guided walk of the neighbourhood’s musical heritage.

Fitzrovia Festival was first held in 1973 under the banner “The People Live Here” as a celebration but to also raise awareness that this inner city area is a place where the young and old live.

Fitzrovia has a population of about 8,000 people spread over the Camden and Westminster side of the neighbourhood, but this residential population is often forgotten amongst the offices, shops, cafes, restaurants and the noise of the traffic.
