This month’s newsletter. I hope everyone had a good summer!

Time to Sing will not happen on Mon 31 Aug but will resume on 7 Sept and the Mondays after that! 11am – 12.30pm at Fitzrovia Court, 24 Carburton St W1W 5AS.

Lunch on Mondays is available at the George and Dragon pub on the corner of Cleveland and Greenwell Sts from 12.30, at a (higher) discounted price of £5 for a REGULAR MAIN MEAL ONLY, Specials and drinks extra. This is through the kind generosity of Paul the pub landlord who has carried on with this out of his own pocket.

Massage/Reflexology is on Wednesdays, 2.00 – 3:00pm at Fitzrovia Court, 24 Carburton St W1W 5AS. This project has won funding for another year from the Derwent Community Fund. I’ve got a waiting list now, but if you’re interested, or haven’t had a repeat visit for a while, please call me on 020 7580 4576 and leave a message. I’ll try to fit you in as soon as possible.

Celts: Art and Identity will have a community preview at the British Museum on Sunday 20 September. Not sure yet how many or what time in the afternoon the tickets will be, but if you’re interested give me a call on 020 7580 4576 and I’ll put you down on the waiting list.

Fitzrovia Youth in Action will be celebrating its 18th anniversary on Sat 5 Sept, 3-5pm in Whitfield Street with performances, games and refreshments for the whole neighbourhood. Do go along and join in the fun!

Social Dance classes for anyone over 60 are starting up at the Fitzrovia Centre on Foley St, Mondays from 14 September. 12-2pm with a social from 2-3pm. These are free; beginners and improvers will be helped by Trevor Jackson during the sessions. Further info: 020 7580 8680

Margaret Street Lunch Club for anyone over 60 will be on Thursdays 10 and 24 Sept at the WORD tearoom of the London Jesus Centre, 83 Margaret St, W1W 8LH. If anyone needs lift access as please enter through Reception in Marylebone Passage. 11:15amLunchtime Talk (10 Sept TBA, 24 Sept a retired nurse will talk about her time in the NHS) 12pm Lunch and Desert with Tea/Coffee for £3,1pm finish. All Souls Clubhouse has a range of friendly exercise classes available. They also run two very useful services: Clubcare which includes visiting and other help, and a shopping trip available every fortnight on Thursday. The lunches on Wednesdays are also still going.
