Complaints to Merchant Land about noise from building works in Charlotte Street

Building site.

Work at 61-65 Charlotte Street has been done outside permitted hours.

Work at a property development at 61-65 Charlotte Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T 4PF has been going on outside of allowed working hours. We have written to the property developer to complain about out-of-hours noisy work and tried to resolve the problem.

However, despite complaints to the developers by ourselves and a resident, work has today (Tuesday 4 October) continued outside of permitted hours.

Normal working hours are 08.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 13.00 on Saturdays. Work on Sundays and bank holidays is not normally permitted.

This morning workers were loading building rubble onto a truck between 07.30 and 08.00.

We have again complained to the property developers and their project managers and have also made a complaint directly to Camden Council.

The property developer is Merchant Land Investments Limited and the work is being carried out by Rosguill Developments Limited. The work is being done after planning permission was given to redevelop the site.
