Wildlife friendly parks and open spaces are important for biodiversity and provide places for people to sit and relax. They are also vital to combat global warming and prevent water run-off after heavy rain.
But creating and maintaining these spaces is difficult in an inner city environment where parks and open spaces are often intensively used and abused.
This event will be a guided walk to visit two very small public open spaces in Fitzrovia with a talk to explore the possibilities and also the threats that these spaces face.
Meet 11am Saturday 21 July 2018, Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Centre, 39 Tottenham Street, London W1T 4RX. Free event part of London National Park City Week 2018.
