Old editions of Tower community newspaper (which later became Fitzrovia News) from the 1970s. We have a very limited number of original copies to sell for £1 each.
Tower was produced every month in the Whitfield Centre in Whitfield Street starting in 1973 and then every two months in later years. The papers report on the first Fitzrovia Festival and the demolition of the Gort Estate which was replaced by what was then known as the EMI building and now called Central Cross.
You can buy these books, posters and old newspapers direct from the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association (registered charity 1111649) from the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Centre, 39 Tottenham Street, London W1T 4RX
All proceeds towards our charitable work and an archive of Tower and Fitzrovia News.
