I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year holiday!
Time to Sing will carry on Mondays 11am – 12.15pm at Fitzrovia Court. No experience or skills necessary. Have fun singing familiar songs with a friendly group of people! We had a lovely time singing with the kids for All Souls School in December.
Massage/Reflexology is on Wednesdays, 1.30 – 3:30pm in Fitzrovia Court. If you’re new to the programme or have been on it and haven’t had a massage for a while, do give me a call to make an appointment on 020 7580 4576.
Need help with Computer skills? I will be available 1.30 – 3.30 Wednesdays to help with basic skills like email, web search and online event booking in the Fitzrovia Court lounge. No booking necessary. I’m hoping to start more formal classes soon.
Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association AGM will be on Wednesday, 23 January at the Indian YMCA, 41 Fitzroy Sq W1. Doors will be open from 6.30 for a 7pm start. Please come and show your support for our work, and help decide our future as we face moving from our premises after 38 years. Refreshments available.
The next Expert Patients Service course will start on Thursday 24 January, 10am at Fitzrovia Court, please give me a call if you would like to take part. The six-week course is for people with long-term health problems or those who care for them. It is run by patient-trainers who themselves have long-term illnesses. This includes daily planning to overcome depression, non-pharmaceutical methods of helping with pain, and dealing with health professionals. Some have said it was ‘life-changing’.
Community Shopping Trips – Every other Thursday 10:30am. Minibus from the All Souls Clubhouse (141 Cleveland Street) to Morrisons or Sainsbury in Camden. We will drop you home and your shopping at home by 1pm. Service available to anyone over 60 living in the Fitzrovia area. Booking required – please call Jane Behan 020 7255 9756.
The British Museum is having a community preview of their next blockbuster exhibition,
Ice Age Art – the arrival of the modern mind on Sunday 3 Feb. I don’t know the time of our tickets yet, but it will be in the afternoon. Please get in touch if you’re interested.
