Licensing applications in Fitzrovia

The licensing authority for Fitzrovia is divided between the London Borough of Camden and City of Westminster.

Each has its own method of informing residents about licensing applications. However, residents need to look out for notices on premises as well as sign up to licensing alerts and use the authorities websites. Premises are required by law to display a notice of a licensing application.

There is normally about 21 days to make a comment on a license application.

Westminster residents. Westminster produces a weekly licensing news and individual applications can be looked up at westminster.gov.uk/licensing

Camden residents. To receive email and text alerts, residents should visit Camden Council’s website camden.gov.uk/licensingalerts and sign up by following the online instructions. Individual applications can be looked up at camden.gov.uk/licensing

Both the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association and Charlotte Street Association comment on licensing applications but residents are encouraged to also comment on any applications.
